Time Out of a Busy Life
Here is
a short list of ideas of where you can find some time to write:
- Watch
one less TV show each week (or 30 minutes less of TV each day)
- Get
up 15 minutes earlier and write
- Go into
the office early and write
- Eat
lunch at your desk and write for the other half of your lunch break
- Skip
housework for the day
- Order
a pizza instead of cook
- Hire
a neighborhood kid to mow the lawn, rake leaves, or shovel snow
- Get
a babysitter for a morning or evening of writing
- Let
the answering machine pick up all of your calls for the day
- Don't
check e-mail
- Write
at while waiting for doctor's appointments, oil changes, or meetings
- Work
at home for the day and use the saved commute time to write
- Schedule
a writing appointment on your weekends or day off (and keep it)
- Stay
late at the office 15 minutes and write
- Make
an appointment with a writing buddy to meet somewhere to write
- Shop
for holiday gifts online
